A bright, private summer retreat within Fire Island National Seashore. The design balances open indoor-outdoor living with the privacy of the owners and preservation of the site’s existing trees and vegetation.
An airy living area and kitchen open onto a flexible outdoor gathering space, while a two-story bedroom wing buffers the home from the busy public walkway. Thoughtful siting, decorative screening, and landscaping create a quiet retreat connected to its coastal setting.
